About Us
From the age of twelve, Kevin has been intrigued with and engaged in woodcraft. Turning wood on a lathe was the beginning of a life long passion and artistic outlet that has transformed so many pieces of wood into beautiful creations. He has won numerous regional and state awards for exceptional woodworking. In 1991, at the age of sixteen, he was the recipient of the prestigious Golden Bear Award (Best of Show) for the state of California. To say the least, Kevin is well versed in all areas of finite woodworking. Over twenty years of vision, creation, and reflection has deepened his passion for woodworking. His commitment to quality and perfection is unmatched by anyone in the industry.
Our shop is located in Chico, California. Here in the Northern California valley, we enjoy spending our free time (what little we have!) in the outdoors. We both love to hunt and fish, and find any time we can to connect with nature. Our love of wildlife and the outdoors has taken us across the country and abroad. In our many quests over the years, we have come to realize that there is a serious lack of quality woodworking within the taxidermy industry. A niche we are proud to now fill.
McGrath Woodworks opened in 2001 with a goal of providing the discerning customer with superior customer service and a commitment to quality that was not being provided in the industry. Our clients can feel confident that every detail is given the utmost care and personal attention.
